Rhodes is one of those Greek islands that somehow Rhodes is one of those Greek islands that somehow has a bit of everything 🇬🇷💙 You’ve got a medieval Old Town so well preserved it feels like stepping into a different century, beautiful beaches with crystal-clear water, mountain villages where life moves at a slower pace and plenty of tavernas serving long lunches you’ll still be thinking about weeks later. Spend your mornings wandering the whitewashed streets of Lindos beneath its ancient acropolis, your afternoons swimming in the Aegean and your evenings watching the sunset with a glass of wine in hand. 🌞🍷 Whether you’re here for the history, the beaches or simply the Greek island way of life, Rhodes makes it very easy to fall in love with it. This is the tiny, colourful Kastellorizo (Meis) and it really feels like one of Greece’s best-kept secrets. The entire island seems to revolve around one beautiful harbour lined with pastel houses, waterfront tavernas and fishing boats gently bobbing in the crystal-clear water. ⛵️ It’s a very small island, so I’d say 1-2 nights is the perfect amount of time. Long enough to explore, swim, eat your body weight in Greek food and soak up the atmosphere without feeling rushed. Here are a few things to do in Kastellorizo: 💙 Wander around the postcard-perfect harbour 💦 Visit the famous Blue Cave, one of the largest sea caves in the Mediterranean 👙 Swim straight from the harbour in water so clear it barely looks real 🏰 Walk up to the Castle of the Knights for panoramic island views 🐠 Enjoy fresh seafood at one of the waterfront tavernas 🌅 Stay for sunset when the colourful houses glow golden in the evening light Slow-paced, peaceful and impossibly pretty. Exactly the kind of Greek island I love finding.
